The research of the PhD project will be focused on novel optical hollow-core fibers and fiber arrays for ultrasensitive Raman sensing with molecular selectivity. Innovative photonic fibers provide strong interaction between the guided light and the analyte molecules and thus an enhanced analytical sensitivity. This new analytical principle will be explored for urgent questions from environmental sciences and medical diagnostics.
Master degree in physics, chemistry, engineering or related disciplines
Experiences and Interests:
Experimental and technical skills and interest in optical setups
Knowledge in Raman spectroscopy and fiber optics would be helpful
