Beschreibung: My group aims to regulate inflammation in various types of tissue. We use biomaterial-based approaches to control inflammation and cell function. This project will focus on production of those biomaterials and testing the function in regulation of inflammation and regeneration of tissue.

Within this scheme we can offer various subprojects for a Bachelor, Master, PhD or a Medical Thesis.

The project will be fully supervised to ensure success of your thesis project.

Start/end date: open to discussion

Depending on the project you be trained in the following possible methods:

• Production of biomaterial-based materials
• Cell culture
• ddPCR
• ELISA
• Microscopic imaging of cells and
biomaterials
• Laser scanning microscopy
• Immunofluorescence
• Training in English and German

Sonstiges: We do not provide funding for your thesis work. However, there may be a possibility to apply for PhD funding. For example, if you were to do your Master's thesis work in our lab and we decide that you would fit well into our team, we could apply for funding for your PhD at the University of Freiburg.
