Beschreibung: Your responsibilities:

•Generation and functional characterization of bacterial mutants.

•Application of physiological, molecular biological, and microscopic methods.

•Analyse the transcriptomes, proteomes, and metabolomes of nanotube-forming cell populations.

•Collaboration in the subproject P19 of the Collaborative Research Center 944 “Physiology and dynamics of microcompartments”.

•The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work towards a PhD.


Required qualifications:

•The candidate must hold a university degree (M.Sc. or diploma) in biology, biochemistry, or a related field.

•Excellent final degree.

•Sound knowledge in molecular biological methods.

•Practical experience in microbiological working techniques.

•Excellent command in written and spoken English.

•Structured and independent way of working.


Desirable qualifications:

•Experience in the application of high-resolution imaging techniques as well as electron-microscopic methods.

•Experience in the generation and analysis of large-scale ‘Omics’-data sets.

•Ability to work in a team.
