|| A PhD position (3 years, 75%) position funded by DFG is available in the molecular physics group of Otto Dopfer (TU Berlin). The project deals with the IR and UV laser spectroscopic, mass spectrometric, and quantum chemical characterization of the geometric, electronic, optical, and chemical properties of diamondoid molecules and their clusters relevant for materials science and astrochemistry, using state-of-the-art molecular beam and cyrogenic ion trap technologies. Experience in some of the following areas is advantageous: molecular physics, laser spectroscopy, mass spectrometry, vacuum physics, optics, electronics, molecular beams, cluster science, data acquisition. Applications (cover letter, CV, statement of research interests and qualifications) should be sent to Prof. Dopfer, Institut für Optik und Atomare Physik, TU Berlin, firstname.lastname@example.org. Evaluation of applications will begin at April 15 (2019) and continue until the position is filled.
