Beschreibung: As part of the Comprehensive Cancer Center Göttingen a Molecular Tumor Board (MTB) will be set up at the University Medical Center Göttingen over the next few years. For this purpose, methods, software and knowledge databases for the evaluation of the molecular state of tumors and for the prediction and evaluation of personalized treatment options are required. Within an interdisciplinary project, tools and knowledge databases will be developed to automatically generate MTB reports and thus support the Molecular Tumor Board. The project also includes collaborations with the University Medicine of Münster and the German Cancer Research Center. To support this project, we are now looking for scientific staff for an interdisciplinary team at the Institutes for Medical Bioinformatics, for Medical Informatics and at the Clinic for Oncology of the University Medical Center Göttingen. Within the scope of this project we also offer topics for doctoral theses in the fields of artificial intelligence methodology in personalized medicine, development of software tools and knowledge management.

Your position:
Collaboration in the development of a tool for enrichment, automatic analysis, evaluation and filtering of personalized treatment options based on patient data using public domain data sources
Structure of an Knowledge Management System
Development of requirements in dialogue with representatives of different disciplines

Qualifications and personal qualities:
Master‘s degree within the field of computer science, bioinformatics, medical informatics, molecular medicine or a related discipline
Thorough understanding of bio-medical basics
Very good knowledge of programming
Enjoy working with complex models
Strong interest in building a sustainable software project
Excelent communication skills and fluency in both written and spoken English are required; knowledge of German would be an advantage
High motivation and able to work independently and interactively in a team setting
