Beschreibung: The project
An ERC consolidator grant funded PhD position (for up to five years, starting salary is ~46,000 CHF) is available in the group of Michael Hothorn at the University of Geneva, Switzerland. The successful candidate will employ quantitative biochemistry and structural biology to dissect protein complexes mediating signal transduction in plant development.

We offer
We are a collaborative, multidisciplinary & multinational team interested in cell signaling in plants. The group has a strong background in structural biology, quantitative biochemistry,
plant genetics and cell biology. State-of-the-art equipment for eukaryotic protein production, protein purification, biochemical analysis and structural characterization is available in the lab
and department. English is the working language of the laboratory.

Your profile
Candidates should have a first class degree in biochemistry, chemistry or biology, or in a closely related subject and ideally prior experience in molecular biology and in biochemistry. A
basic knowledge of protein expression, protein purification and structural biology would be highly appreciated.
