We are recruiting one PhD student to work on a three-year project aimed at identifying novel microProteins that regulate shade avoidance responses in plants. MicroProteins are small single-domain proteins that have been shown to control diverse biological pathways. In the project we will employ a combination of transcriptome-sequencing, genome-engineering and protein biochemistry approaches in Arabidopsis and tomato plants to unravel the function of new microProteins.
We are looking for a highly motivated individual with an MSc in biology or related discipline. The ideal applicant has experience in working with plants and thrives in an international working environment. Knowledge in genome-engineering and/or protein biochemistry is a plus.
