The recently established research group is interested in host-microbe-interactions and focuses on epitranscriptomic modifications, i.e. posttranscriptional mRNA modifications that have been shown to be important regulators of mRNA fate.
The successful candidate will analyse the mechanisms by which pathogenic bacteria exploit host mRNA modifications to promote infection.
