At the MSS, we investigate the multiscale physics of particulate systems. The MSS hosts an interdisciplinary research team with a unique combination of scientists working numerically, theoretically and experimentally. The following positions are available:
-Simulation of additive manufacturing processes in metals
-Mechanical properties of granular metamaterials
-Self-organised structure formation in granular gases
-Sequential Particle Deposition (High Performance Simulator for Granular Packings)
-Homogenization of Granular pipe flow
-Fractures in granular matter: Theory and Simulations
