One open PhD position and several student assistant positions in the area of
DNA Storage
at Fraunhofer Institute for Toxicology and Experimental Medicine ITEM (Hannover, Germany).
The aim of the position is to develop novel bio-based storage media as well as novel algorithms for error-correcting codes and data compression.
We seek people with a Master degree in Computer Science, Bioinformatics, Mathematics, Physics or (Electrical) Engineering.
You will become part of a highly motivated team in an exciting and innovative research environment at the interface between biotechnology, electrical engineering, mathematics and computer science for the PhD position (as well as students in these areas for the student assistant positions).
