DOCTORAND (M/F/D)
For our BU Catalysts in Heufeld
We are offering a position to do your PhD thesis at our Catalyst R&D Site in Heufeld, Germany. The position is in our Fuels Team in the field of Sustainable Aviation Fuels (SAFs) via alcohol routes.
Responsibilities:
- Write your PhD thesis in industry in a field that is highly relevant for reducing carbon emissions in the aviation industry
- Preparation and haracterization of catalysts for the production of SAFs from alcohols, especially zeolite catalysts
- Testing of catalysts in processes related to the production of SAF, e.g. methanol to olefins and oligomerization of light olefins to kerosene
- Combining literature and your own results to evaluate approaches for optimizing catalysts
- Work together with academic as well engineering partners
Requirements:
- Master degree in (technical) chemistry or chemical engineering
- Sound background in heterogenous catalysis
- Reliability and ability to work in a team
- English & German level professional proficiency
